Founded by Lloyd Newson in 1986, DV8‘s work is about taking risks, aesthetically and physically, both radical and accessible, and intended for as wide an audience as possible. This production by DV8 is an exploration of the parallels between dance and social conformity, a violent reaction to dance‘s preoccupations with physical perfection and beauty.
Our camera captured a relationship between an older woman and a much younger man, exploring their physical relationship by using body projections. The intertwining body shape, texture and skin colour visualize the unusual relationship.
